Guna milan + Sanjay Rath's method + synastry
Three methods. The complete picture.
Enter the birth dates — the calculation is real and the verdict is in words. The scores, all 8 kutas and the doshas are in the full report.
Free and without registration. Classic Ashtakuta — a calculation from the male and female charts.
The result will appear here once the data is entered
More data — a more precise result.
The classical method of compatibility by 8 factors (kutas). A score from 0 to 36 gunas. Used in India for centuries. The demo above calculates by this method.
Sanjay Rath's methodology: an analysis through nakshatra lords and 9 additional factors on top of the classical kutas.
Full synastry — overlaying two charts. Aspects between planets, house interactions, shared dashas.
What the score means, how the gunas work and what to look for in the report.
Not recommended
Acceptable with reservations
A favourable union
Ideal compatibility
An anonymised couple. A real calculation from Dharmika — all three levels.
High compatibility by gunas
Kshatriya and Shudra — harmonious spiritual temperaments
Quadrupeds + Human — mutual attraction
One direction is favourable, the other has obstacles
Elephant + Cat — a neutral pair that requires adjustment
Ma ↔ Mo — neutral, medium mental compatibility
Manusha + Deva — harmonious temperaments
Distance 3 — favourable, financial stability
Madhya (Pitta) + Adi (Vata) — different constitutions complement each other
Not met — neutral for the longevity of the marriage
Sufficient distance of the stars — favourable
Thighs + Navel — a strong marital bond and longevity
No hostile pairs — no hidden obstacles
For the basic Ashtakuta, the date of birth is enough — the calculation uses the position of the Moon in its nakshatra. For a deeper analysis (synastry, Rath's method), it is best to know the time to within 15 minutes. If the time is unknown, we use noon and note this in the report.
Sanjay Rath's method extends the classical Ashtakuta by adding an analysis of nakshatra lords and additional factors that the classical method does not take into account. This gives a more nuanced picture of compatibility. The methodology is unique and is not offered by other web applications.
From 25 gunas out of 36 is good compatibility. From 18 to 24 is average — acceptable when the other factors are taken into account. Below 18 is traditionally not recommended. The score, however, is not a verdict: what matters is which kutas scored low and whether other factors compensate for them.
Yes. The Ashtakuta analyses the position of the Moon in the nakshatras — the method does not depend on gender. Synastry also works with any combination of charts. All three levels of analysis apply to any couple.
An analysis. We compute the objective astronomical positions of the planets and apply classical methods of compatibility assessment. The result is a quantitative score broken down by factor — not advice from the stars.
Three levels of depth. An objective analysis — not guesswork.
